Kim Chiu


Kim Chiu is a Chinese actress in the Philippines. Chiu was born in Xiamen, Fujian Province, People's Republic of China, but emigrated with his family to the city of Cebu, Philippines, at the age of 3.

Kim Chiu was the first winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, and is now part of Star Magic, under contract with ABS-CBN.

Chiu launched her career by winning Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. She was the first winner, beating 14 other housemates. Kim and the rest of the housemates entered the Big Brother house on 23 April 2006. On 3 June 2006, after 42 days of summer spending on the Big Brother house, Kim was named the big winner with 626,562 votes teenager (41,4% of the total votes) in the Aliwa Theater Cultural Center Philippines Complex in Pasay City. She was the only housemate who was never nominated for eviction.

Chiu and Anderson also appeared in Love Spell and Aalog-Alog. Their team was dubbedd love 'Kimerald "by fans, which is an acronym of their name.

Chui and Anderson scored their first anniversary in show business with the movie I've Fallen For You which premiered September 26, 2007 in movie star. After her victory, Chui was a young high school student in the Distance Learning Center of ABS-CBN, the network's school for young artists.

In 2007, Chiu starred in the television series entitled Sana primetime Maulit Muli with Gerald Anderson. Chiu is a member of ABS-CBN's circle of homegrown talent called Star Magic. Following the success of Sana Maulit Muli, she cast as the lead actress in the prime time show My Girl, the Philippine remake of the Korean series with the same title and once again partnered with Gerald Anderson. She also starred with Claudine Barretto in the series of mini evil.
In January 2009, Kim starred in the television series entitled Tayong Dalawa was Kim's third appearance in a series of primetime television, and also the second time he worked with Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca from Sana Maulit Muli.
Kim was a special guest in 2009 Feast of the Philippines, together with Gerald Anderson, held August 15-16 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center Secaucus, New Jersey. Chiu is also a party official entry to the Star Cinema 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival, Te Quiero, Goodbye. Kim is currently Tayo'y Magkakalayo Kung, his fourth novel in 4 years, together with Gerald Anderson, Coco Martin, Kris Aquino, Jaclyn Jose, Gina Stop, Maricar Reyes, Max Eigenmann, Gabby Concepcion and Albert Martinez.
Chui is now a regular performer on ASAP XV and has been a mainstay since 2006.
